OTA not working

append delete TopCog

Windows 11
Builder 3.55.1
SDK version ???

I recently upgraded my computer, installing everything fresh. I'm using an older version of the builder, as the latest version throws errors for me.

Everything builds and I get the QR code, but my iPhone sees nothing at the IP address. I've added the builder to the firewall, and tried turning off the firewall completely as well. Any ideas of what to try?

Your iPhone is on Wifi, right ? Check using a ping tool that your computer’s IP is reachable by your phone, and inversely.

A very late follow up on this (I just didn't use OTA again, and installed through TestFlight as needed): after finally upgrading to the latest ProjectBuilder version, OTA deployment works again! :-)

Glad to hear it. Happy building !

*edit* Thinking about it, the fact that reinstalling the builder fixed it means that something deleted the "allow" rules that the builder installer sets up in the Windows firewall for the builder tools that use the network (debug console and OTA installer are the main ones). Reinstalling it put these rules back in place, and that fixed it.

(Leave this as-is, it’s a trap!)
