You can of course use whatever tool to install an iOS app on your device. This one uses libimobiledevice, which this build environment used a long time ago.

I stopped using libimobiledevice in favor of OTA deployment for reliability reasons: regularly, the USB protocol of iOS devices would change and the upload tool would no longer work, until the libimobiledevice developers (or myself) reverse-engineered the breaking change made by Apple and commit the necessary changes into the library. In the early 2010s these unfortunate events occurred quite often and at some point it had become unmanageable for a single programmer.

If you're not too concerned about the possibility that your upload tool might suddenly stop working, you can of course use this one.
